What to know

Why dog day camp?
Dog Day Camp can be very important to your dogs social skills and play skills. We have a highly trained staff to make sure that is done just right.
Not only does dog day camp take the boredom out of your dogs day but it provides a environment that is safe and secure. You can have peace of mind knowing your dog is working out their energy in a facility that was made just for them.

Here at Bark Orlando, we do dog day camp a little differently. Having a smaller day camp allows us to really get to know your dog and give him/her the attention he/she deserves.  When we accept a dog, it's not because they're good, but because they're awesome! We don't separate the dogs here, so everyone must be able to share the toys, play nicely, and be respectful. Playtime is supervised and safe, and we are able to form a bond with your dog based on trust, friendship, and respect. Your dog's safety and well being is our top priority. If this sounds like your kind of dog day camp, give us a call or stop by. We would love to meet your four-legged friend!

Bark orlando Temp test
All dogs must be non-aggressive and not toy protective. Owners certify that their dog(s) have not harmed or shown aggression or threatening behavior towards any person or dog. If you have a concern about your dog's potential behavior you are required to disclose this concern to our staff at the time of your application. Please remember that your pet will be spending time with other pets and the health and safety of our staff and all animals in our care is our primary concern.

All dogs require a temperament test to ensure they are a good fit for day camp. During our temperament test we will take your dog into the day camp area and test them out with a few dogs of all sizes. We will be looking for good and playful body language, signs of resource guarding, signs of anxiety and his general interaction with the others. During this you can either wait in the lobby or return when we are done. The test will typically last between 10 and 20 minutes.

Vet Records are required upon Temperament Test.
We will have a contract up front you can look over during the temp test and fill out.
Your dog can not stay after the test. This helps them understand they will be going home after camp days and avoids development of separation anxiety during the day. If they pass the test they can come as soon as the next open business day.

Temperament tests need to be scheduled ahead of time.
Tests are M-F between the hours of 8:00 and 11:00

Our Camp Rules
The purpose of Bark Orlando Day camp is to provide a fun, safe, stimulating, and low stress social environment for dogs during the day. To ensure the health and safety of your pet and of our other guests we require all of our clients to comply with the following rules.

Age:
We accept dogs and puppies 4 months and up.

Shots:
All dogs must have all vaccinations up to date.  Owners must submit written proof of all vaccinations including Kennel Cough and Flea prevention.

Bordetella
DHPP/Parvo
Rabies
Health:
If your dog is not feeling well please do not bring them to day camp (diarrhea, vomiting, limping, coughing, ear or eye infections, etc). All dogs at day camp must be in good health so as not to endanger themselves or other dogs. Dogs that have been ill with a communicable disease in the past 10 days will require a note from the veterinarian to be readmitted to daycare. Dogs who have recovered and have been well for at least 10 days may return to daycare without a veterinary note.
In case of serious illness or injury:
If we believe your dog requires immediate veterinary attention you will be contacted at the numbers provided on your application. Your dog will then be transported to the nearest available veterinarian for treatment. The cost of treatment will be charged to your account. These charges must be paid in full by you at the time you pick up your dog.

FAQ.
Here are some of our Frequently asked questions.
  1. Do the dogs get to go outside? Yes, All dogs get to enjoy walks throughout the day.
  2. Do the dogs get quiet time?
Yes, your dog will be allowed to sleep at daycare. A well exercised, properly socially stimulated, and unstressed dog will sleep. Dogs are not separated or confined to kennels, but nap time happens and you might be surprised to hear that it happens for everyone all at the same time. The pack has put themselves on a pretty good schedule and they all lie down and sleep together.
  3. Where do the dogs get water? Our water station is tucked away just out of parent window site. It consists of 3 water bowls filled just about every 30 to 45 minutes. The dogs are never left without water
  4. Where do I put my dogs leash? We will take your dogs things and stick them in their own personal numbered locker to keep safe. When you pick up, their things are returned with their dog.
  5. Do the dogs get treats? Treats are provided at the front counter. If you leave treats with us we can give to your dog during the day.
  6.  Are you able to feed my dog during the day? Yes, if you provide us with your dogs food and time to be fed we have a separate feeding area
  7.  Will you keep up with my dogs training? We will absolutely not let your dog run wild. We are trainer owned and operated so we do our best to have them sit at the gates and we do not encourage jumping
